Durable Polycarbonate Dock Lights Stay Cool to Touch.

New Simkar polycarbonate loading-dock lights are stronger, lighter and cooler to the touch than conventional models with metal heads. The high-impact polycarbonate heads won't dent, bend or break under normal daily use and are designed for permanent installation and long life on retail, warehouse and distribution center loading docks. Because they stay cool to the touch, the lights can be safely repositioned anytime, even after hours of use, to provide optimal lighting in vans, trailers and railcars. Efficient high pressure sodium (HPS) models use a 50-watt lamp to deliver the equivalent of 500 watts of incandescent light, and come complete with a 24,000-hour rated lamp, integral ballast and reflector, and removable diffuser. Incandescent models use 150-watt reflector lamps, maximum. Listed by Underwriters Laboratories and certified to Canadian national standards, Simkar dock lights are available from stock for immediate delivery.

The polycarbonate heads are mounted on flexible swing-arms, available in standard lengths of either 40 or 60 inches. Both the basic single-strut model and a deluxe double-strut arm are manufactured from 1 1/2 inch, 14-gauge square steel tubing. The single-strut arm is available on incandescent models only and features a folding knuckle joint that allows horizontal and vertical adjustment. The double-strut arm provides greater strength and will accept a three-speed 4200 cubic feet per minute (CFM) fan below the lamp head. Wire-mesh lamp guards are optional for incandescent models.
