SIMKAR Launches the OWL, Our Newest Outdoor Wet Location Fixture

SIMKAR is proud to introduce our OWL, Outdoor Wet Location fixture. The OWL is our next generation wet location fixture with its sleek, functional appearance.

At widths of 3-3/8" and 5-3/8", one and two light, respectively, the OWL is 2/3 the width of traditional enclosed wet location fixtures. The unique narrow size is ideal for eaves and coves or applications where a discreet wet location unit is desired (and where traditional enclosed wet location fixtures would not fit). The OWL is designed for use in corrosive atmospheres, non-hazardous dust environments and applications where water spray, splashing water or where hose downs frequently occur.

Our standard OWL fixtures are equipped with an injection molded UV stabilized polycarbonate diffuser with robotically applied closed cell polyurethane gasketing which seals the diffuser to a rigid one-piece, flame retardant reinforced polyester fiberglass enclosure secured with clear acrylic latches. Sound familiar? What separates the OWL from traditional wet location fixtures is the OWL's uniquely narrow diffuser has a smooth exterior with internal linear prisms. This design provides maximum light distribution, while repelling dust and simplifying maintenance.

SIMKAR's OWL fixture can be surface mounted on ceilings or walls. OWLs are supplied as standard with stainless steel mounting brackets and hardware. For targeted illumination or corner mount applications, SIMKAR offers an optional swivel mounting bracket. The OWL enclosure remains completed intact and sealed when mounted.
